I actually got photos to post, but the photos are all in the office and Im too lazy to reload them onto this computer.

I am doing a theatre performance which should be ready in late March and i need to know sign language terribly! Does anyone know?

Tomorrow will be a hectic day again. After finishing my piano lesson, i m going to Novena Square with Chris, followed by meeting fungie for our DHL balloon! Romantic leh! So expect MORE photos when i m back in office! :D

Shooting Day

Monday we bid farewell to another colleague. this jie jie has been here when i was here last year, always treating mi some chocolates and snacks.

well, gone gone gone...haven been in the office for 1 year and i see many come and go. next, i guess it will be ah jo.

hai, so sad. next time nobody will pei mi go xuxu, nobody will pei mi go park and walk, nobody will pei mi talk...i thought at least she will be able to bid mi farewell. now its actually my turn to bid her first. hai.

anyway, yesterday i help jo with her photography assignments, and she took many many pictures of mi. well, thank you for taking mi, despite working with so many restrictions like fat legs, fat arms, fat face etc etc...

the uni students are happily having their term break now. how i wish i can be like them. sometimes im so tired until i just want to go home. sometimes i feel so bad for not accompanying my granddad for dinner/lunch.

anyway, i have signed up for numerology lessons! finally after 5 years...i shall be a good student!

Happenings

It was a full of happening day today.

First, my student sms me telling mi he scored 22/25 for his A Maths test. Though i just told him 'the paper must be very easy', but im quite happy for him cuz he got F9 for his exam last year.

Secondly, i am helping my drama teacher to write out a script. Actually, i seriously don't audnerstand why. Becuz there are lot of students, and im sure they know how to write Chinese. I think its totaly dumb to spend so many hours, trying to tell mi the whole story and asking me to put into words. why don't she just spend the few hours writing it? and today i met her to correct the script according to her plot. -_-

thirdly, my mind has been in a mess as ah jo decided to tender today. and she is making me as nervous as her cuz she keep choosing the RIGHT TIME to put the resignation letter on Kim's table. Well, i guess my upcoming month will be an adventurous one, and perhaps a torturing one for ah jo! :(

Saturday was a busy day.

Had piano lesson for 1 month of rest, everything was back to basics again. One month of rest for teacher, one month of rest for me too. Now I must try to get back the momentum of practicing at least twice a week.

Then I met Chris and Eve to go Novena Square to walk walk and slim down.

Adidas factory outlet is having mega sale up to 70%. Eve bought a pink cum orange jacket, I saw it and love it too! So I went to grab it too! At first I thought it will not have my size anymore. Surprisingly, there are still many pieces, so I grab one immediately! Haha. Usu price $121.30, after 70% discount, it was only $36!

Then we went to remove our fake eyelashes cuz its too irritating and always poke my eyes. Initially, we want to do again, but this time with real hair. But after removing, we found ourselves happy with our own lash and our eyes looks much brighter than b4. So goodbye fake eyelashes (hope chris doesnt kill me for this):

And I have received a wedding card! Its damn fast la...next time when I grow old, I will be going for funerals. -_-

Anyway, this wedding invitation is by an ex colleague. So sweet of her to remember us.




This week is gona be busy as the pri sch kids are having their CA1 and the secondary kids are having their common test.

Yesterday I was busy marking those papers and it is quite clear who will score and who will not depending on who got give mi hwk but hu never. But its still very sad when I know that I didn’t help a student as much as I did for the rest. Oh well, from now, I should pay attention on those weaker ones! 

Last night, i went out instead of going for my vocal training lesson. :x

I was trying not to be early, and HE was late! =.=
So I ask him to pay for my dinner! Hiak Hiak Hiak.
But well, even if he is not late, i will still ask him foot the bill la! :P

Starting to find Orchard Road so boring cuz we simply cant find a thing to do.

While watching the news, my daddy screamed “GOAL” so loudly that I nearly dropped my dinner plate. At first I thought it was some football match, then I realized it is because we have won the right to host the Youth Olympics.

I was eating in the kitchen and I shouted: “SIAO AH! NOT LIKE U WIN 4D!”

Then my blur and dumb Mummy, like lost in the world of her own, came to kitchen, asking me: “Singapore host Youth Olympics, why so happy hur?”

I nearly fainted.

On one extreme, my daddy screamed in excitement. On the other, my mother don’t know why people so happy.

So, I have to stand in the middle right?

But, I really feel proud to be a Singaporean. With:

- Singapore Flyer
- Integrated Resort @ The Marina Bay Sands
- Casino @ Sentosa
- Formula 1

And now Youth Olympics, I am sure Singapore will be a more vibrant city by then! And we will have more FUN! Whee!

I was pestering my aunty and grandafather to watch Ah Long Pte ltd and finally we have watched it on tuesday! yay!

i tell u, it's damn hilarious. but well, if u intend to go in watch smth good, all sporean movies arent suitable for u.

i just want to pay the money, go in laugh at their stupid accent, their lame jokes adn come out feeling happier.

but well, it wasnt well edited la. hello, i can even hear the glitch in audio and the jump cuts...so im sure those smarter people can even see it more.

but its enjoyable la, at least my grandfather nv keep looking at his watch and yawn! kekekeke!

The Eve of V Day 2008

It's the eve of v day and yupz, i m not afraid to tell the world that i went for a date! :D

Remember i mention about this Go Movie Date thing, i went for a movie date with this unknown guy. We arent suppose to communicate before the date and i can only know who the guy is when i enter the cinema (ie. the person who sits beside me).

Well, actually before this, i told fungie and chris about it. The movie starts at 7.05pm at GV plaza. Actually before that i already know hw he looks like. Blame the guy who put his full name, so i managed to surf friendster, found his account and take a peep before going. ok la, yes i played cheat.

Anyway, i wana watch kungfudunk but i got no company, so why not right? since he paid for the tix.

it was funny and abit out seriously. well, i know, as a mass comm students, i must think of their editing skills and plot and acting blah blah blah, no but i just wana relax and watch the show (with a stranger -_-).

i called fungie before the show, complaining to her that the guy was late, and we thought of all possibilities like he may also be spying on me too, or he decided to fly kite. and for every guy that walk past, we were discussing over the phone that is he the one, does he fulfill the height and weight blah blah...damn funny lah

oh wells, after that we went for dinner at Red Tomatoes, i am so damn hungry can. i treated him leh! not bad right! hehe. then we chatted. he is so shy! so all the while, im behaving like a clown, but it doesnt matter la, not like im going to see him again.

after dinner, i rushed home. cuz today is ren ri and everyone in the house is waiting for me to go home and lao yu sheng.

Chinese New Year 2008

CNY EVE
EVENT 1: REUNION LUNCH WITH PATERNAL FAMILIES

I left the office damn early to get a ox of yusheng, while rushing over for reunion lunch with my paternal. reunion lunch is a norm for us, cuz we would gather for a prayer to our ancestors and eat together. also, each of us has our own family, so afternoon reunion lunch would be the most appropriate.

kevin called on my way there and ask if they could feature our reunion lunch for tomolo straits times. i called daddy and he agreed and all of us get so excited about it.

there were 5 families in the house (3 room flat) and u can see we are all cramped and squeezed and its of course noisy! well, every year we meet, there would be question and answers where the adults will ask: are u working or studying? where u doing ur internship? when u graduating? blah blah blah...

and then they will see whether u have grown prettier/ fatter / taller or shorter and some other funny things la.

next, they will ask: wheres ur bf la? u got bf anot la? bring him here la...blah blah blah.

then at 130pm when the ST photographer came, they will start discussing: oh is he ur bf?1 wah so shuai! and they will bomb him with questions like: when isist gona be published? when u all write article? wad u all gona write abt? blah blah blah... (and i only know his name 15 minutes earlier than them)

my aunties are so kind, gave him mandarin oranges and $10 ang bao.

he lucky chap. AND YET! NEVER PUBLISHED US! so sad!

EVENT 2:
REUNION DINNER WITH MATERNAL SIDE

then after leaving the house, we went heartland mall to shop awhile. i got 2 pyjamas and mummy got 2 pants. then we went jubao restaurant (at teck chye terrace) to collect poon choi 盆菜. i thought, since i have start working now, so i should use my salary to contribute abit, so i decided to buy poon choi from this hk restaurant jubao at 138 dollars. i ibnterviewed them for my mag and this chef is a hk big chef previously from lei garden, so i thought / assume it would be nice! ( i thought they wont charge mi for the poon chai! haha. sadly, they did!)

ta-deh! all the seafood! all the calories and cholestrol! wonderful!

my reunion dinner! now i noe why i cannot grow skinny. haha

so after eating, while we were clearing up and heating the claypot, somth happen!

MY STOVE IS ON FIRE!

While my aunty was panicking, i still took out my camera and took pictures of it. my aunty dun noe whether to kill mi 1st or save the pot /stove first. haha. we tried sprinkle water but failed. then i start blaming the loisy pot which melts when it is on fire.

after investigating, it wasnt the pot, but the plastic handle that got stuck underneath the pot and when it goes to the fire, the handle melt!

so what happen in the end? the stove is spoilt. and the claypot was thrown away, the expensive seafood in the pot was thrown away too cuz its poisonous. and well done. say bye bye to my 138!! :(

nvm la, for our safety...hai!

anyway, after tt i was contemplating whether to join the cac guys at lunar bar tt night. but i dun wana miss the andy lau show and the new year countdown so i decided to give it a miss.

CNY DAY 1:
it was a hot and sunny day. mummy, daddy and i went to spore buddhist youth mission at 12pm to eat the free vegetarian mee sua and fried bee hoon for lunch. we do that every year, partly cuz my daddy's student is there to help out and invited us over, secondly, we always give our offerings tduring 1st day of cny.

and guess what, THAT WAS NOT THE END!

My mummy, thinking tt it was nt enuf, wan daddy to drove us to si ma lu guan yin temple to pray again. so we went there adn damnit la, knowing it was cny day 1, and it would so crowded, we were sweating like mad and there were thousands of people there, 6 policemen to control crowd and people were rushing to get into the temple. so being too squeezy, mummy said we just pray outside. -_-

so after tt, we went to Mustafa. our usual shppping place during cny day 1 and its daddy's fav cuz its the only shop tt is open, its big and it has everythign there. but i dun really like it cuz i was surrounded by all indians and all the indian smell.so being v bored, i tried all perfumes. whoohoo!

got home, stinky, smelly, iand tired, i went to sleep.

after brushing up, we went for dinner at 3 aunty' house. it is a annual thing there. we used to look forward there, as we can play with our other cousins. but well, its no longer the case.

but i still look forward there, cuz i can see them. 毕竟一年只有那么一次.

CNY DAY 2

went visiting from mroning with my ah gong, parents and aunties. our 1st stop is in ubi, visiting my grandaunty's son. then the shocking thing came.

we went to the house and we found a maid! -_-

so we wondered, wah so rich hur, still hire maid. but to our surprise, the maid say our relative move house 5 mths ago already! shocked, we called other relatives to ask if they kow where they move to, but nobody knows. the tel line was cut off and the onli thing we found out was, this family borrowed 20k from my granduncle.

why? gambling la.

the father of this family gambles everything, toto, 4d, footbal...and the last time i saw them, the wife was weeping, telling us how her husband gambles until no money.

hai...the only conclusion we get is borrow money from loan sharks. cuz they didnt contact any relatives at all, didnt go for reunion dinner nor visit us like they used to in the past.

it sounded ridiculous and it became the topic of the day, with us going to other relatives and discussing abt the issue, making illogical conculsions. and my aunty was laughing at herselves for still sending chinese new year cards over. -_-

well, another broken family. hai,poor kids...

then i met ting in late afternoon, intending to watch ah long pte ltd but didnt manage to get any tickets so we ended up spending 52 bucks in kbox, for 2 persons. well, i haven seen her for like a year since this woman is busy pat tor-ing and im busy with all the shit. haha, cny is a got time for us to catch up.

so that concludes the day and i guess i will see her next year?

CNY DAY 3
i was rotting at home, watching korean vcd and waiting for 3pm to come. aunty had booked a ktv room in Grassroot country club. its much much cheaper than kbox. this one onli 68 for 1 room (4-5people).

yesterday i sing, today i continue singing. -_-

cold until my hand shivers. haha

the day ended with dinner. chris jio mi for a ktv session at night in party world, and i rejected cuz im getting so tired of singing. haha

CNY DAY 4
MY COOKING DAY!

I volunteered myself to cook yerterday's dinner and get aunty, daddy and mummy to come and try my dishes. so after lunch, yeye accompanied mi to sheng siong tog rab my ingredients, bought prawns, carrots, herbsetc and went home. but realised it wasnt enuf, so i went ntuc alone to grab more items.

where do i learn from? the latest se xiang wei feb issue!

they realli have delicious and easy to make dishes, and it complements cny! so i came home and found my relative coming to my hse visit.

adn the thing is...i left 1 se xiang wei magazine, which is important to mi for now cuz i need the recipes for tonight's dinner. then kind ye ye, gave it to my relative, and i m like, staring in blank space and dunnoe wad to do with the ingredients! so in the end, i asked my relative for the magazine, copied down the recipes and returned to her. i started preparing from 2pm and ended cooking at 530pm! whoohoo! this are all the dishes i prepared!

so happy cuz everyone find them ok and they love my prawns! this time i used the correct sauce and it tasted yummy!

i personally love the mushrooms cuz i think its nicely braised (for 1 hr). but a pity its abit salty.

i shall cook for them again soon! whee!

after dinner, i left hurriedly for barnabas tuition and gosh, i came back felling so tireddddddd! (the mom gave mi ang bao! so nice!)
