It's like FINALLY!
After so many many things, so many burnt weekends, so many emotions upheavals, so many tuitions, so much work...etc etc...
i was OFFICIALLY SICK ON FRIDAY!
When such a glutton like me doesnt have appetite, and only takes 1 small meal for since friday, something is really wrong.
i cant understand why doesnt interns have any leave.
WE ARE HUMANS!
and seeing that some of my friends work on weekends, getting all drain out, yet some cant even get time-off...that's like working slave!
but well, for me, i guess it just serve me right for having too many activities. but YAC PRODUCTION finally finishes during the weekend. Thank you all who came to support and who has given me support in one way or another. especially chris, who has helped me with the dance steps. hehe.

*Happy Birthday to somebody* :)
Received a call from Lishan and Rayven yesterday. Oh well, Aedno is expanding and they need full timers to help them in the developmental aspect, which means tuition as secondary, but doing all the marketing, branding, logistics, admin work as primary.
Well, I didn’t take it seriously, cuz firstly, I wasn’t graduating soon like Lishan, and secondly, I wasn’t expecting myself to go back to AEDNO. Although it sounded like my future is secured after I graduate, but I couldn’t see prospect in it. why work for somebody when you have the capability to do it yourself?
And it was only Rayven’s planning to expand the tuition centre, and this idea doesn’t have a concrete planning, and it may just flop. And now, you have to worry about how to build up this reputation, how to bring in students, and how are u going to explain to the boss if business is not doing well.
But well, when he has finally set up another branch, then I shall consider his offer. So Lishan, go for it! :D
I will be going for rehearsal tonight. Didn’t like their disorganized meetings, and there is always somebody who is not informed about the rehearsal. Anyway, my performance is on this Friday 8pm and Sunday 4pm. Admission is free, but you have to RSVP.

Subject is the last sentence
Yes, busy busy busy. Last Friday was a public holiday, thank god it was a public holiday! I can sleep late and go gai gai with the 2 lings. Aunty went Indonesia for holiday with my precious camera, so that leaves me with no photos for this week. And the sad part is, I were out playing this week!
Luckily fungie had a powerful camera and we took photos while we were shopping! Fungie brought this top from Dorothy Perkins and we took a shot in the dressing room.
Then we went to Isetan @ Wisma, I was so hooked to THE BOX and I bought this whole set of clothes which I tried. Fungie was trying to take a vain shot of me while I was trying to model in front of the mirror. Oh wells, she succeeded la. :p
Then we went to eat high tea at pasta café. Omg! At that moment, I so hated myself without a camera! The food there is pretty good with a reasonable price!
Then XL came and we went to search for Jun Yue’s and Andrew’s birthday pressie. Bought both of them 2 tops each from TOPSHOP.
Next, we went back to DIAN XIAO ER @ AMK HUB for dinner. 7 of us. including: Jun Yue, Andrew, Tommy, Weibo, Khin Khin, Xiaoling and ME! IT’S A PITY I DON’T HAVE MY CAMERA!!
After eating a very expensive meal, which cost us $200+, we went to xiaoling’s house to play mahjong. The PROs were trying to teach us and we had spent like close to 30 minutes for a round of game. Oh gosh.
ENJOYABLE holiday after the stress from work.
Saturday, oh well, had piano lesson and numerology lesson as usual. My piano teacher invited me to his performance at night. It was 中华文化节@Raffles the Hotel, Jubilee Hall. And he will be playing all the piano 伴奏. It was rather screwed up because my AS USUAL UNTIDY TEACHER was trying to look for every single piano scores high and low on stage, and there was a few times he cldnt find the scores and playing it off hand.
I drag mummy to watch with mi cuz aunty doesn’t like my piano teacher. Rah!
We left halfway, cuz I wana get more clothes from isetan. So I drag mummy to isetan@wisma again and I bought another 4 pieces from chic room. Spent like $160 plus. Hehe
Sunday was tuition at renena as usual. But last Sunday, chris and I had a spring cleaning and we mopped the whole renena like mad. Oh gosh, I always thought renena is very small until Sunday. The floor mopping seems never ending.
By the time we are done, we were so damn tired. But I die die also must drag chris to Chinatown, to see hk tour pkgs! Haha. If not, we forever wont go. At least now, we can check out the prices of JET ASIA and the hostel prices.
And we cab back home and I went home to rest before going for another tuition at night! Kill me!
In the end, I was so tired , my body is aching and I really drop dead.

Another BUSY weekend
My singing lesson for this term has come to an end. Last friday, we took a group photo together with weiqiang lao shi. The photographer took 8 blurred photos from my camera. this was the best out of them.
well, blame my lousy camera too. i shall get a good one real soon...~~

On Saturday, i spent my time sitting in a numerology class and learning it. it is smth new to me and it is very itneresting. the teacher, peter ong, is a very experienced numero-palmist. shuiling and i have went for his reading before.
it's amazing how he can tell u wad is surrounding ur house, when he onli noes ur block and unit number (note: i didnt give mi my address during registration). and its more amazing how by looking at ur car plate number, he can noe wad happen to ur car in the past, and he can even go to details like:"oh ur car got bump at the LEFT lamp on 2007..."
well, perhaps when im jobless next time, i will go and be a tarot-astro-numero-lamist! WAHAHA!
at night i met ah gong, aunty and mama and we went FOOD AND BEVERAGE FAIR in suntec!
It wasnt as crowded as before, perhaps they have organised too many food fairs in a year that people are just tired of going anymore. but, we still bought alot of things home! we bought two 500g of bak kwa, yam paste, lotus rice, QQ rice, cod fish etc etc...it was tiring but im sure we had fun.
yesterday was indeed a tuition marathon. i have nnever give tuition to so many students, for so long hours in my entire life. and i think i can just switch to full time sunday tuition.
930-230: tuition in renena. consists of p6, sec3 and sec 4 students doing different things at overlapped time slots. . thats 5 HOURS!
4-6pm: tuition with linsey. p5 eng lish and maths. supposed to be held at sat but it clashes with my numerology class.
7-9pm: tuition with barnabas s4 A maths.
after 9pm, i simply drop dead in my daddy's car.
luckily chris bought a filling lunch for me. how filling? see below!
u think its no big deal right? just a packet of rice? nono..let mi do a comparison.
AND aunty has to use 2 PAPERS to wrap our rice! STUNNED!
the originally very yummy curry rice didnt taste as good as beofre. i guess i was digusted by the many dishes and the size of the packet that made mi lose my appetitie! this is the first time i didnt want to finish the rice. say welcome to higher cholestrol and more fats! haha
ah jo went to pulau unbin on sat and keep showing mi her arms and trying to convince me that she got darker which i refused to agree. so in the end, the 2 girls, mee hong and ah jo keep airing thier arms infront of mi, that i decided to just put it in my blog. but i didnt dare to put it so big if not i think ah jo will kill me. haha

FLY KITE!
No i didnt went to fly kite. I dont even have time to sleep, how to go fly kite?
Now i truly really seriously understand the meaning of responsible.
Being a tuition teacher for so many years, i can produly say that i have never ever forget my appointment with any students. though i may cancel last minute or wadsoeva, at least i remembered i have tuition with them and i will make an effort to cancel it, despite the fact that sometimes it's last minute. :p BUT BUT BUT, im going over to their house! so u see, the person who is travelling is ME, not them.
I cancelled my piano lesson last saturday, because i was tired and didnt practise. i dont like to go there unprepared.
So i had arranged with my piano teacher, and i will go over to his house on monday. he said if there is any changes, he will call me.
So on monday night, right after my work, i rushed down from lavender to khatib, carrying a whole bag of piano books.
it was raining.
i was feeling lethargic and tired. BUT I WENT DOWN.
the door was usu opened. and that night it was closed, so i knew smth was wrong.
i knock the door, his 9 yr old son opened it.
ME: Where is your papa?
SON: He went out.
ME: WHAT! When did he left the house?
SON: Very long ago...
ME: WHAT! Then nobody at home?
SON: Everybody went out.
ME: WHAT!!
Ok, i must explained the 3 "WHATs"
1st WHAT: i was late for 10 mins, and i thought he went out cuz he assumed that i wasn't coming.
2nd WHAT: it was raining, i was so tired and im carrying so many books and u didnt call to cancel the lesson if u cant make it. instead u make mi come for a wasted trip.
3rd WHAT: how can u leave a 9 year old kid alone at home!?
so i called my teacher:
BACKGROUND: NOISY
ME: Lao shi, it's me! arent we having lesson today?
LAOSHI: OH QIAN HUI, IM SO SORRY!! We had an old school gathering cum performance, and i couldnt make it back on time.
ME: WHAT! u forgot our lesson.
LAOSHI: OH im so sorry! let u make a wasted trip! are u free any other weekdays?
ME: NO, im tired and not free. let's meet back the same day and time, no need replacement.
LAOSHI: Oh solly solly!
i was prepared that he told mi he had forgotten. I wasnt as shocked as im supposed to be.
instead, i felt ok, cuz i can go home, eat dinner and rest early. so i took a cab and went home.
Why was i not as shocked / angry as im supposed to be?
CUZ THIS IS THE SECOND TIME!
The 1st time, i went to his house on a thur afternoon. it wasnt a make up or replacement. before my internship, i was having lesson lesson with him on every thur afternoons, and i chnaged to sat suring my internship.
there was one thur afternoon, i knock his door. this was worse ok! nobody open the door, the whole family went out! at first i thought they ran away. in the end, he brought his son for medical check up. and he forgot to inform me.
apparently, he does that to yueyin's bro adn dad often too.
seriously, being in a teacher's point of view, i dont and never consider this as FORGETFUL. u noe u are having lesson, or at least u promised the kid. and here the student has travelled all the way to ur place to find u missing. mind u, im carrying lotsa books and its raining.
this eventually voice down to RESPONSIBILITY.
and he is certainly NOT a responsible teacher. since he has let it happened twice.
if u cant make it, at least give mi a call, even if it's like 5 mins before lesson or smth, at least u are telling the student: yes, i remembered we are having lessons!
instead, all he explained was, he forgot the lesson. how can he!
this is his MAIN source of income, and if u are being such an irresponsible teacher, no atter how high ur qualifications are, im sure u cant making it big in this teaching line.
im looking for other piano teachers. there are so many unexperienced and lousy ones in the mkt, and seriously without friend's recommendations, its really hard to find sb good.
but im also opening up the choice of POP piano. many schools have them, but they are basics. i found play-by-ear, where they teach u POP PIANO IMPROVISATION, according to ur piano grade. i guess it certainly helps.
and im not trying to look down on PRC. but my current teacher is a PRC, he talks to students in mandarin, even uses chinese terms for all piano terms. which is bad, i cant see myself passing any piano exams under him. cuz either i will fail the theory due to his chinese explanation, or i will fail my practical due to mi playing wrong stuffs. argh!!!

Busy Weekend
While i take a break after lunch, i shall blog about my fun and busy weekend. I had a new tuition assignment in Khatib on Saturday. Initially intended to go over for tuition after my piano lesson (5 mins walk), but being to lazy, i decided to cancel my piano lesson.
The student is such a pretty and cute girl, smart but very careless, which is the most difficult thing. How to cure carelessness u tell me!
After which i met Chris for our usual slimming session and proceed to Suntec City for IT SHOW! its crowded as usual, but not as crowded as last year. We went to look for Wu Sheng, see my camera, see her laptop, then wait for evelyn and we headed for dinner. Tried this thunder rice tea at food repubic and it was yummy.
We had our dinner at 9pm by the way, and by the time we finished, it was 10pm. Ah Zhi isnt around during weekends, so how can i let go of the chance to have a GIRL'S NIGHT OUT right. haha.
So...
we went KBOX! (note: her eyes are much BIGGER than this!)
it was the first time that i reached home at 3am. usu i would just stay out or camp over at chris house. but i have tuition at 930am next morning, which this woman only had hers at 11am, so i decided not to take the risk, in case she sleep like a log and forget to wake mi up. i decided to went home, at least ah gong can wake mi up! haha
it was another shag sunday. plus mi sleeping so late on sunday, im a total dead fish. eve came today too as she had replacement. after all our tuitions, the 3 girls decided to eat durian!
we only bought 2, cuz we had a yummy lunch (lor mee) and chris was having ulcer. and we brought home to eatas i volunteered to open the durian shells for them! haha
TA-DEH! Two of the few VERY IMPORTANT powerhouses in my life! :)

Went home to take a shower then proceed to barnabas house for my last tuition of the day. How busy! :s
Friendship is not measured by the length of time, the number of meetings we had etc. Rather, it is measured by the ups and downs that we had gone through. Friendship is about respecting each other and giving support. It is about being honest with each other.
It may be cliché, but it’s like a pile of sand in your hands. When you hold it too tight, it will slip away, no matter what. Friends are about accepting who the person is, and not putting your views on the person and think you are always right. It is definitely not about criticizing every single actions and be a winner yourself. It is also not about thinking that you are always great and right, without listening to the other’s opinions.
Sometimes, you maybe wrong.
I get defensive when you instill your thoughts and forced it into mine. I get offended when you criticize every single thing of me, no matter right or wrong. It is also clearly obvious how well I am being treated when you needed help from me. It’s just a matter whether I want to say it.
Don’t assume you know me, when you simply don’t. Don’t assume you know what I am thinking when u certainly do not. And don’t think I am like that because you think I am.
One day, when I can no longer take it, ‘friendship’ may not even be in consideration. I do reflect about my own actions when your words affected me. I don’t fight back not because I don’t have temper. I just don’t want to ruin any relationships.

I don’t say this for no reason.
The student is such a pretty and cute girl, smart but very careless, which is the most difficult thing. How to cure carelessness u tell me!
After which i met Chris for our usual slimming session and proceed to Suntec City for IT SHOW! its crowded as usual, but not as crowded as last year. We went to look for Wu Sheng, see my camera, see her laptop, then wait for evelyn and we headed for dinner. Tried this thunder rice tea at food repubic and it was yummy.
We had our dinner at 9pm by the way, and by the time we finished, it was 10pm. Ah Zhi isnt around during weekends, so how can i let go of the chance to have a GIRL'S NIGHT OUT right. haha.
So...
we went KBOX! (note: her eyes are much BIGGER than this!)it was the first time that i reached home at 3am. usu i would just stay out or camp over at chris house. but i have tuition at 930am next morning, which this woman only had hers at 11am, so i decided not to take the risk, in case she sleep like a log and forget to wake mi up. i decided to went home, at least ah gong can wake mi up! haha
it was another shag sunday. plus mi sleeping so late on sunday, im a total dead fish. eve came today too as she had replacement. after all our tuitions, the 3 girls decided to eat durian!
we only bought 2, cuz we had a yummy lunch (lor mee) and chris was having ulcer. and we brought home to eatas i volunteered to open the durian shells for them! haha
TA-DEH! Two of the few VERY IMPORTANT powerhouses in my life! :)

Friendship is not measured by the length of time, the number of meetings we had etc. Rather, it is measured by the ups and downs that we had gone through. Friendship is about respecting each other and giving support. It is about being honest with each other.
It may be cliché, but it’s like a pile of sand in your hands. When you hold it too tight, it will slip away, no matter what. Friends are about accepting who the person is, and not putting your views on the person and think you are always right. It is definitely not about criticizing every single actions and be a winner yourself. It is also not about thinking that you are always great and right, without listening to the other’s opinions.
Sometimes, you maybe wrong.
I get defensive when you instill your thoughts and forced it into mine. I get offended when you criticize every single thing of me, no matter right or wrong. It is also clearly obvious how well I am being treated when you needed help from me. It’s just a matter whether I want to say it.
Don’t assume you know me, when you simply don’t. Don’t assume you know what I am thinking when u certainly do not. And don’t think I am like that because you think I am.
One day, when I can no longer take it, ‘friendship’ may not even be in consideration. I do reflect about my own actions when your words affected me. I don’t fight back not because I don’t have temper. I just don’t want to ruin any relationships.

Say Bye Bye to my new bag!
It all happened last night. i think my bag just cant stand the amound of rubbish i threw in. and i started using it only after CNY. gosh, barely one mth!
it also means, time to look for a new bag! hehe.
IT show is here once again, and suntec will be damn crowded. last year, i accompanied lishan to get her digital camera. This year...hmmm...
My aunty is planning to get a new digital camera cuz she is going Indonesia for hiliday next week. and at first i was looking at it, hehe, i hope i can use it also after she comes back for holiday. and my another aunty was asking mi to recommend something simple and okay.
after thinking about it, i suggest giving my aunty my current camera (which is abit spoil due to the battery loosening). and i will get a NEW ONE! of cuz, which their sponsorship! hehe HOW CLEVER! They didnt reject this offer, so silence means consent right! :D
anyway, i was looking at cameras these few days, and i after reading many reviews and doing many research, i'll prolly get this:

it's prosumer and of coz much more expensive, cost around 899. but u noe, this big black bulky cam are the 'IN' thing now. ok as quoted from evelyn:"did u hear it? her important word is IN". yea wad! its the IN thing now! imagine urself holding this black camera, look so pro, and not as ehavy as those SLR. its semi pro liao. hehe. but well, i see how leh hur. i dont intend to spend too much of my internship money on cameras.

Duffy is here today!
i just had a small talk with Duffy 1 minute ago. GOSH, and its like all the heart throbbing, butterflies in stomach etc etc. Well though i know i wont do badly, but still the thought of teacher meeting my supervisor to talk about my performance, the thought of teacher meeting publishing director! and the thought of reviewing everything is enough to make mi excited and anxious and...dunno what!
The funny thing is, when he came to visit me, laura saw him and she was waving frantically and saying HELLO to him excitedly. and we went outside to talk, the first question that duffy ask was:
"WHO was that girl? she was so happy to see me and waving and saying hello so excitedly..."
i told him she's laura...
"hmm ...her names sounds vaguely familiar but i dont remember her!"
of course, CS has such a small student population, duffy, u didnt noe u are a popular man in school? dun be surprise if somebody u dont know wave at u in the streets...haha
anyway everything goes well...he is surprised to see me working so hard and working so much and yet not stressed and very happy. he is surprised that i can do alot of things which as interns shouldnt be doing, eg: big interview with chefs, doing of features (4pp), doing of new columns etc.
actually, compared to jo, its only SMALL CASE! haha
but kim also mention that i must read more CHINESE articles...well...it's true la, before i came in, i think my chinese standard is not bad. after i came to work here, i realise actually im lousy. or rather, most singaporeans are as bad as mi.
he recommend mi to take up xu xiao ge's advanced chinese jounalism, but i told him i cant cuz i never take the basics. and he said if im really interested, i can email xu xiaoge and he will talk to him to let mi join in.
i told him about the HR director asking me if im interested to work full time here and he ask if i would like to?
well, i told him i would like to try SPH and he weigh the pros and cons for mi. but he still encouraged mi to try SPH for a few years for better credibility depite of all the hierachy adn stress that we will be facing in SPH.
Then in my logbook, i mention how i had a typo mistake...
a cake shop named 'GOBI', i wrote it as 'BOBI'...how i felt so bad till now and he too share with mi hw he made a grave mistake too. (sometimes his ang mor is so chim until i catch no ball. luckily i laughed at the correct moment) haha!
ok chill chill chill...i will be a better intern! :)

Ma Maison Dinner with Meiling
Last saturday, I met fungie on saturday for our DHL balloon! Cuz we bought a package which includes DHL ballon, Hippo tour and Duck tour last year and the package expires on 1 March 2008 (which is that day). So we MUST meet and try out the DHL balloon!
To our disappointment, the tix are fully sold out when we reached there and they will not be flying at night due to bad weather conditions. BUT i dun see anyhing bad about the weather! no rain, not cloudy! so nice!
So disappointed la! So i took some pics to remember this day. although i didnt get the chance to board the balloon, AT LEAST i took pics of it! wahahaha!

Dinner at Ma Maison made us feel much better. its my first time here and thanks sweetie for bringing mi to such a nice place! it has got certainly nice food and romantic ambience! We waited for very long but it was all worthwhile after the food arrived.

Then, we went to take neoprints! it has been years since i last took it! haha, im kdding, i mean last christmas! (and also with fungie too!)

This terrorist is making the whole country 人心慌慌...Actually i dont feel a thing, till my PARANOID aunty talk cock with me for 15 minutes last nite.
She is so careful that she peep everywhere before she climb the stairs, before the leave the lift, before she walk into the carpark la. I think its no longer consider 'careful', but SIAO.
Since spore has so many people who are afraid that the terrorist will harm them, the government should quarantine all of us or at least ban us from going to work for 1 week or longer till the police manage to catch the terrorist. Well, im saying this for the safety of all ok. If all singaporeans are outside, its mroe difficult to catch the terrorist right? Perhaps they will nab the wrong guy or smth.
So we should be at home, instead of at work! YES!

To my disappointment, i saw the news:
Angela Chang has cancelled all promotional tours in Singapore and Malaysia until further notice. A press release issued by Universal Music cited health reasons for the cancellation.
There goes my passes for NTU campus concert, well i m not really over her, but the thought of going for a concert without all the queuing hazzle made me look forward.
AND, IT IS SO DUMB TO GO ALL THE WAY TO SPH TO COLLECT ONE DUMB POSTER!
