Happy Saturday!

SR Home has a volunteer cum elderly outing today at Bishan Park, so I went to help out. The difference this time is, Lishan is coming along! Brad wants to join us initially but he is busy doing his army stuff. Well, it's ok! Next time k, MR ARMY BOI!

It was scorching hot when we were about to set off. But when we reach Bishan Park, it starts to drizzle and before we knew it, we have to wheel the elderly to hide in a shelter as it was already raining. Jordy didnt put enough onions and chilli in Bishan Park la.

The rain didnt stop. So in the end, we have to cancel all activities and bring the old folks back. It was not easy as many of them are wheelchaired and we need really big umbrella or a big tentage to shelter them back to the buses / ambulance.

After sheltering Uncle Teh back in ambulance, I carry my big umbrella and tried to shelter two able to walk elderly back to bus. The big umbrella was too heavy, the two elderly were too tall, so in the end, the elderly offered to hold the umbrella and shelter me back -_-

Im damn useless can! HA!

So we brought the elderly and the low income families back to SR Home. While they were eating, we sang songs for them :)

It seems like Im going to watch NDP Celebration. The crowd is omg! And some dress like they are here for wedding. But it was an enjoyable night and the finale was Xiao Zhu. Although i dont really listen to his songs, but he is yandao la! He won the 全方位艺人奖．

I bought a goldfish

I bought this goldfish.
I named it AH BUI.

I searched high and low for a goldfish on Monday.
The fish shop in many AMK markets are closed.
And I finally found one in Boon Lay.

I told the aunty that I want a cute and chubby fish.
She picked one which I don't like.
In the end, I hand picked AH BUI among the fishes.

I used to have goldfish when I was in secondary school.
It was for one of my Girl Guides training modules.
Unfortunately, the goldfishes died after 8 days.

My conclusion is,
I can't even take care myself,
hence I cant take care of other living things

I bought AH BUI for FYP shoot.

AH BUI is so cute.
Once I bought it, it keeps shitting non stop

I think I may have scare him.
Coz I like to make funny faces real close to it.
Or maybe it is eating too much

Now AH BUI is with Shujing.

I saw many police cars at EEE on my way to CS. And yuan lai, a NTU prof got stabbed! News below:

AN information engineering professor of the Nanyang Technological Universy is undergoing emergency operation in hospital after he was allegedly stabbed by a final year student in his office on Monday morning.
Moments after the attack, the body of the fourth year undergraduate, believed to be an Indonesian Chinese, was found at the foot of the seven-storey School of Electrical, Electronic and Engineering building. He is believed to have also slit his wrist.

NTU students returning from their mid-term one-week break were shocked at the double tragedies which happened at about 10.30am on the sixth floor, where the offices of the lecturers are located. The School of EEE is next to the School of Communications.
Prof Chan Kap Luk, is his 40s, is said to be the supervisor of the student in a project. Police said he suffered stab wounds on his back and arm and was rushed to the nearby National University Hospital.

Trails of bloodstains were seen along the entrance to the lecturers' office, where a blood-soaked blue shirt was found.

An eye-witness, Mr Liu Yan, 24, a final-year electronic enginneeing student from China, said he and his friend were studying in the Research Techno Plaza on the fourth level, when he happened to look out of the window and saw a student with blood oozing from his arm running across a bridge, which links the School of EEE and the plaza.

Next, he saw the student on the glass rooftop of the bridge and moments later, he was no longer there. The rooftop was covered with blood splatter, he said.

'I immediately called the police and then, with my friend, rushed down to check. We were shocked to see the student's body at the foot of the block,' said Mr Liu.

An NTU spokesman said it would issue a press statement later on Monday.

The professor name is Chan Kap Luk.

I think the student is dumb. And somebody commented on FB: WTF WHO STABBED MY FYP TUTOR!

美丽的星期天，
睡到早上10点，懒洋洋地爬了起来。

换了一身运动装便到公园跑步。
蓝蓝的天空，灿烂的太阳，
跑啊、跑啊。。。

经过绿油油的草地，
有人在踢足球，
有人坐在那里谈天，
有人在野餐。
悠闲。

脑子里什么都不想，
不想功课、
不想烦恼、
不想任何人。

很少有这样自我的时间，
所以非常珍惜。

真好，
公园靠近佛堂。
不知不觉，就来到佛堂了。

看到许多老年人诵经完毕，正在排队拿午餐。
搭电梯到大殿，
望着那壮观的佛像
静静地闭上了眼睛
默默地站在那里

很久、很久。。。

有时真的需要停下脚步，
慢慢聆听心里的话语。

面对即将结束的学习生涯，
我到底知道自己要什么？
未来的路要怎么走？
人生应该怎么活？

其实我知道。
可是我要的人生真的能实现吗？

今天早上，
是唯一让我真正觉得我在放假的一刻。

享受完这美丽的早晨后，

Waking up early, reach East Coast at 7am in the morning. Not to pat tor, but to film the waves, and the swaying trees and to catch old people doing Qi Gong.

Hiding in the studio, not because to enjoy the freezing air conditioning. But trying to shoot some shots for my deadline-is-coming-soon-FYP.

And park myself in the Editing Room, trying to edit the video and audio till wee hours.

And on this nice study-break-friday, when nobody is back in editing room, we are here editing our evening and nights away. I took a cab home and reached at 1215AM.

P/S: i miss my black hair!

a woman's pain

As i look at some women who bounces as they walk with their extraordinary high heels, i just wonder how they can ever do it and stare at them in bewilderment.

It's even more shocking when they can walk in it for 12 hours!

Ok, call me a tomboy wadever
i seriously don't think that u need to be able to wear heels to be a fair lady

and i dun understand why high heels is always link with formal wear
why can't i just wear slippers!
ok fine, that's out of point.

but why can't i wear flats!

and so, with my nicely ironed formal wear and a pair of high heels,
i kick-kick-kock-kock from amk to boon lay.

along the whole mrt ride, i just curse myself
i can't remember buying this pair of high heels
and it's bloody painful

so i curse myself why i buy this pair of heels
and i curse myself again for wearing it.

a supposedly 1.5hrs of journey became 2 hours,
because im walking like a real princess now
one slow step at each time.

not that i can't balance, but...

i skipped the second half of the interview workshop,
went Popular to get assessment for my students and DV tapes for my video

oh my goodness, the walk from boon lay mrt to 179 bus stop took mi 15 mins!!

growing up

I guess when you go out to work, when you face more people, you become more mature in your thinking. This is what I felt when i met Xiaomei for lunch today.

Somehow inside me, i m starting to admire her.
be it about life or about relationships,
she knew what she wants.

and just by talking to her in person,
i felt that she has grown :)

it's amazing how after so many years from secondary school,
we are back again
meeting for meals
having these lil women's talk.

what's more surprising,
our junior, which is onli 21years old,
is getting married next jan to a man who is 10 years older than her
that was rather shocking,
but well good for her and i wish her all the best.

this is the 1st day that i felt i was having holidays.
throughout the whole week, i have been up in school till late for editing.
and tml i will still be there editing till wee hours.

it's scary that march is approaching,
cuz it means fyp deadline is drawing near.
and it's scary becuz there are still black frames that needed us to shoot cutaways.

never do a fyp piece that needs FEEL -_-
totally no more ideas liao.
we have film so much sky, trees, sun, clouds, flowers -_-

and i didnt have the time to catch up with all the readings.
and i need to complete as many reports and projects.
i wan to spoil market! bt no time :(
gosh.

and a financial planning company called mi down for an interview
the person says i apply for it during ntu career fair
-ponders- i don't remember jotting down my number.
but well, im not going for the interview.

im missing the yac people!
i hope i can join u guys tml :)

Met Jon Jon with his pretty gf in Changi Airport today! He said I became prettier and couldn't recognise me -_- Anw, thanks for the compliment.

Then met Li Shan to go travel fair in suntec. despite the economy downturn, everyone is still going holiday man. and there is even a long queue for the european country section.

And i met fizh in raffles city. so qiao! he just bought taiwan tix and he will be leaving with his gf right after his exams.

well, shan and i initially planned to go vietnam. but in the end got so tempted by taiwan, so we decided to go taiwan.

unfortunately, her mummy doesn't allow her to go last minute, so we didnt buy the air tix in the end. but it's alright, we'll go next time yea! :)

no travel nvm, we can satisfy ourselves with food!

the curry is yummy, but too much for me!
