Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails....

Only Love? What the hell is that?

I really wonder what is in the brains of the new generation. Or perhaps I am simply too conventional. The notion of true love or only love seems to be non existent anymore.

A girl can have a good and steady boyfriend for two years, but spends her time crushing on some other random guy and confessing to him. She doesn’t want to give up the boyfriend, and yet the crush is waiting aimlessly for her. Then why crush him and still confess since she is not going to break up on the boyfriend?

Note: Not only guys do this now, even females are doing it too.

Look how the world is changing, into something which I cannot accept and understand at all.

*****

I am totally so broke to afford a DSLR, so I shall keep that in mind when I find a job. BUT I have found an alternative photography / camera which I have been reading on these few weeks.

LOMOGRAPHY!

Photography no longer needs the correct exposure or what crap. It needs ATTITUDE!
What you see above is the limited version of a PINK Diana F+! Like the Holga, you can advance the Diana+ as much or as little as you like after each shot - making multiple exposures, half-exposed frames, and stretched out crazy-long shots a snap. You can also remove the lens, set the aperture to a super-small pinhole and shoot a super-wide-angle, severely old-school image through a tiny hole and create a concurrent and unlimited panoramic image.

Aiyo, the photos taken are damn cool! And the camera only costs $179! Wanted to take a look on Saturday at Objectifs (Liang Seah Street) with Lishan but couldn’t find the place :( Perhaps I will get that before heading New Zealand, or maybe anybody wants to sponsor that for my *ahem* day!

To: Ruojing

To Pebbles

To: Adeline

To: Yong Tian

To: Yan Xuan

To: Alicia Ang
Don't think she will see this, but anyway it has been fun attending Drama lessons with you, singing for your FYP, laughing and messing around :)

To: Alicia Lim
And we still have a dinner date :)

To: Alvina & Mary
FUCK You! BITCH! We are the vulgar team! :p

To: my fellow FYP groupmates (SJ and SW)
It has been fun working with you guys for a year. I must say, it wasn't easy to do a documentary in a 3 girls team. But we sailed through :) Good Luck!

And of course, there's alot more, not forgetting: Muffin, Chun Yan, Shannon, Laura, Sara and all CAC people.

*hugs*

If There're Seasons...

After two tiring tuitions, met Lishan and went for a walk in Bugis. Gosh, I haven't gone to the shopping streets for damn long. But Im a good girl today, didn't buy anything.

Headed to Haji Lane and explored all the vintage shops. Love the place!

I think this dress is toooo long for me!

Superwoman!

Dinner at Gao Ji La Mian. We went in sit down, started to browse menu. Then realise they only have VISA, no NETS. So, went out find a ATM machine withdrew money, before going in again. This Tofu dish was supposed to be one of their highlights. But it wasn't great. Salty somemore!

Tai Tai Chan showing off her bling bling!

Very sad I got no bling bling to show! LOL

The highlight for today is, IF THERE'RE SEASONS. A Mandarin musical by Practice Theatre Performing Arts, starring George Chan, Joanna Dong, Jeffrey Low and Sing Chew. Composer Liang Wern Fook.

If it was shown much earlier, I would have just use this to write a Drama thesis. Who says Singapore Mandarin Musical doesn't exist at all? This search for 'singapore identity' in local drama has always been a ongoing debate. is there a singapore voice in the theatre scene? in this highly globalised society, does the creation fo local mandarin musical hold any significance?

And tonight, I witness the elements of local musical. Xin Yao, which are symbolic to local Singapore culture had greatly inspired the creation of the musical. u can hear close to forty songs composed by our local talent, Liang Wern Fook Lao Shi.

“天冷了,就回来。。。”
New Zealand

Post Exams Celebration @ Dempsey Hill

And so exams finally ended.

I didn't sleep the day before my last paper. There were too many incomplete readings and I kinda stressed out. Yong Tian, Yan Xuan and me decided to each write a summary notes for a few topics so that we can exchange. And so I relied fully on their notes. I totally don't understand Yan Xuan's notes! :(

Anyway, it was the last exam and I was already in my holiday mood way before that. Finally everything is done. And the four of us took a cab down to Dempsey Hill and enjoy our Post Exam Tai-Tai Celebration at Dempsey! :D

Introduced the girls to Magarita's. I have wanting to try it for the longest time and finally I get the chance! However, lighting was bad, plus my lousy camera, food wasn't well taken :(

Cheers to the end of school! say YAY!

LOL.sg members, missing Mary!

And of course, we cam-whore everywhere!

We played with stylo shots!

THIS IS DAMN CHIO! I HOPE MY PRINCE CHARMING DRIVES THIS! LOL!

FYP Oral Presentation II

Basically, I took photos with these people only as I was busy preparing for the Oral Presenation and I had a Drama report to hand in the day after, so wasn't in the mood for other stuffs.

My FYP groupmates.

Adeline and Me. And we are going to spend the whole month of May together Moo-Moo-ing in New Zealand :)

Alicia and Me. Although it seems like we have never crossed each other's paths before, 我们其实蛮谈得来的。And now that I have finished school, we have yet to meet each other for dinner as promised :(

Yup, that's all for now. 毕业感言 needs some time to write. To think that I can fall asleep while showering means that I really need rest. But before I end off, how can I not promote the public screening of our FYP Projects that is coming soon! Interested to watch? Let me know! There's free food! :D

For the third year running, the graduating class of the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at NTU is proud to present Filament 09, A Site for Home - an annual showcase of final year audio and visual projects.

Filament 09, A Site for Home is a collective of documentaries and video dramas that explores the themes of nation and home, touching on issues such as the fight for space in Singapore and the conflict between family and religion. For two nights, viewers will discover for themselves a different side of Singapore as they take a closer look at the neighbourhood pasar malam and find out more about the local comedy scene.

The screening will be held at the Singapore Art Museum on 27 and 28 of April, 7:30 pm. 5 to 6 works will be showcased each night. Admission is free.

This year’s event will feature 11 video projects (10 from the division of Electronic and Broadcasting Media, and one from the division of Journalism) and 1 audio project.

LAST ONE!

This will be the last night that I bury myself in piles of notes.
This will be the last night that I sleep at 3AM and wake up at 8AM.
This will be the last night that I depend heavily on coffee to stay awake.

This will be the last night :)

FYP Oral Presentation

More to come after Thursday.
Thanks Yew Li for the photos! :)

Today

NTU has this Executive Cafe that sells pretty yummy Dim Sum. The four 'muggers' decided to have our lunch there today. I took all these photos using my SE-G900, and surprisingly it looks not bad :)

Grand?

I can never find any nice and romantic scene like this in NTU except here. Especially during sunset when the rays shine through, it's a pretty sight :)

We eat like we are celebrating the end of school! (When exam starts tomorrow...)

I like this photo. Mango Prawn Fritters.

Fu Pi Xia Juan.

Xiao Long Bao.

Pork Ribs.

Total Damage: 55 dollars altogether. Of course we had other dishes like duck porridge and egg congee. and a huge bowl of hot herbal chicken soup, with four cups of hot crysanthemum tea.

Why everything is hot?

Yes, because my nose ran away AGAIN. And I passed the flu to the three of them.
Record so far: 3 packets of tissue per hour. And I even ask Yong Tian to get me a big pack.

The late nights are causing my body to go haywire. I slept at 5am, woke up at 8am on Sunday. Just because of this:

My 195-pages of Directing Journal! ROCKS!

And I have a superbly 'GOOD' Ah-Teong neighbour who only wash her clothes after many weeks. And when she doesn't have enough space to dry her clothes, she will AUTOMATICALLY use mine space without asking.

Note: We have never ever greeted each other before and I have never seen her face-to-face before. Whoo.

Alright, time to get a cup of coffee.
