Aunty accompanied me back to hall yesterday. We were carrying 6 big bags and it looked as though I am going to leave home for 5 years when it's only barely for 5 months. I nearly moved my whole barang over if I had car. Which includes my Minnie Mouse! HA!
I felt Hall 11 single room wasn't that bright as compared to other hall's single rooms which I have visited. I guess I will need to bring a floor lamp over and light up the whole room. Time to bring some useless stuffs over to decorate the room and make it more cozy.
Thanks Aunty for helping me with all the floor mopping and cupboard cleaning. If not, I think I will take a much longer time and will be late for my lovely dinner!
Met Brad for dinner at this interesting eating place called Smok'Inn Frog Kitchen in Bukit Timah Road. This place was actually a Kopitiam before the tenants revamped the whole place and became a atas eating place, which consists of a bar, a thai stall and a italian stall! And they have very interesting names! Like the bar is called "Bar Bar Black Sheep".
So why is it called Smok'Inn Frog Kitchen? Cuz frog is linked to french. And after googling it, it was found that during World War II, when the Englishmen and French had war, the french would often eat frog legs during their meal time. It sounded pretty hilarious to me. During war time still can enjoy frog legs.
Whatever it is, this place has a very nice ambience and used to be a good place to chill in the past. BUT NOW, it is way too crowded!
Why?
Coz one day, a Straits Times writer was hungry. She popped by, tried a few dishes from Smok'Inn Frog, namely Fish and Chips and Beef Burger, and decided to rave about it in the newspaper. So after the article was published in the Straits Times, BOOM! The whole place is crowded with people and amazingly the beef burger became their specialty (previously they had no specialty). -_-
People all over Singapore came here just to try their beef burger and yes including Brad and me, the two tam-chia foodie, came all the way here just to try their beef burger too. Keke!
LOOK AT THE POWER OF MEDIA!
Food is a subjective topic lah. But well, it's worth trying cuz to me, I felt the food was not that bad and the ambience is good! Now Im waiting for the rich army boi to send me the photos that he took with DSLR and I'll blog about it in my food blog!
And gosh, he is making me so tempted to upgrade to a DSLR. It's time for a change!
Alrights, I got to end here as I need to prepare for a shoot later. Thankfully this is the second last shoot for FYP (hopefully *cross finger*). Everything will be fine!
I have finally found some light to my FYP script and all of us are happy with it now! I must pen it down fast before my excitement dies off. Another week of sleepless nights T_T
