NDP Preview 09

Aunty and I went for NDP Preview last Saturday. I went kickboxing before that, rush home to take a shower before heading to the floating platform! So happy that it's now at City Hall, instead of National Stadium cuz it's much nearer!

I was expecting to wait in the hot sun for a long time, but surprisingly, I don't have to wait a long time before we are seated! It's a sunny day! Thank gawd no rain!

I stand there wait and see, wait and see, and when I saw the PINK one, I immediately tell the army boy I WANT THE PINK ONE! Thank goodness he is nice la~ WHEE! PINK BAG! But of course, I won't take it lah. HAHA. Cus i dun like the display of the list of sponsors at the side of the bag.

I was flipping through the discount booklet in the fun pack, nothing useful for me leh :(

It's good that Im working now, because it makes me tired. And when Im tired, I wont do other things such as SHOPPING (which means throwing money!) or EATING - which makes me save alot of money.

Tuition, work, tuition, work - sometimes I think I really made of METAL. I wonder how long I can tahan. I can no longer go out and play during the weekends as I will get very tired on Monday.

Today, I spend my bathing time BLOWING BUBBLES and SINGING in the bathroom! WHee, I haven't been doing it for a long long long time! I want to be a kid today!

My colleague says,

TODAY IS NATIONAL SLEEPY HEAD DAY!

National Sleepy Head Day (Finnish: unikeonpäivä) is celebrated in Finland on July 27 every year. Traditionally on this day, the last person in the house (also dubbed as the 'laziest') to wake up is woken up using water, either by being thrown into a lake or the sea, or by having water thrown on them.[1] It is based on the story of the Saints of Ephesus who slept in a cave for some 200 years during the Middle Ages whilst hiding from persecution by Decius, the Roman Emperor at the time.

Thank goodness I am not living in Finland. If not, I will always be the one who ended up wet! :D

I just woke up from my beauty sleep and found that the house is empty!

Convocation

Yup, my one and only convocation ended on friday. I am now officially not a student anymore.

Basically everyone in the family took leave to attend the ceremony.

Gratitude goes to Alicia for offering me an extra invitation card to let my Ah Gong attend the ceremony.

Ah Yi called this bear "MONEY" and it has a birth certificate also! So ke ai! And she sewed the ribbon on it! *muacks* xie xie ni!

This is the day when all students from SCI gather together for the last time and enjoy this special moment together, be it we are friends or acquaintance...

It is also a day when u hope people whom u matter / those who put u in their heart come. So THANK YOU to all my family members who took leave and came down, even though there are no extra invitation cards and you all have to sit around and wait for the ceremony to end. But really, all your presence really matter...

Dinner was at a "S" Japanese Restaurant in Yio Chu Kang which made me blew my top. Perhaps it was the hot weather that gives me a headache, or perhaps it was something else, I thought the dinner buffet would compensate all the disappointments.

I step into the restaurant and start taking photos of the food, the chef of the restaurant came and asked if I was from the press. I introduced myself, my purpose for the photos and he showed me around the place, very friendly.

Then a moment later, the outlet manager came. In a very unpolite tone, he told me no photography is allowed, and if I want to take any food shots, I have to call and make appointment first.

THEN he returned me the namecard and walked off.

THEN I blew my top. I really blew.

The chef kept apologising. I just stand in the middle of the buffet crowd and told off straight into the chef's face.

Food blogging is a good way for helping the restaurant publicize. If no photography is allowed, please do it in a polite manner. But not letting people take photographs, does it mean that u are afraid that ur food cannot make it and u scared I will blog something bad about it?

Whatever it is, it wasn't a good dinner.

And I scolded the chef in front of many. I seldom does that and although I feel sorry for the chef, but this is something that they should change.

Or at least the way you treat a customer.

To make things worse, I dropped a utensil. After picking it up, an aunty immediately shouted from behind: GIVE ME! GIVE ME!

They have a rude outlet manager, no wonder they have rude workers too.

Sorry, you have stepped onto my tail at the wrong time.

I am now at Lee Wee Nam Library printing my conference materials and research paper while waiting for Adeline to arrive.

I had a family photoshoot in the morning.

My convocation is 2pm but I must be there by 1pm.

I am waiting for friday to arrive

MOE Assessor came over today, which makes everyone in the office very very busy. In the end, I ended work at 7 plus, after which I went to source for a decent pair of heels. I wanted to just wear one of the open toe heels which I had but Aunty said closed toe heels look better for graduation.

Harry Potter was disappointing. I am not a super big fan, but I do watch all the movies. The movie was monotonous, no climax at all. Right from the beginning, I expected Professor Snape to be the Half Blood Prince already, but I expected him to do more bad (exciting) things against Harry Potter.

I am hiring an assistant to help me in academic matters. If anyone of you have suitable candidate, please let me know.

The importance of hygiene

1. I was queuing for MR BEAN at Hougang Mall branch a few days ago and I saw a very disgusting sight. I was second in the queue and I saw one of their staff was standing there, DIGGING HER NOSE!

Can u imagine, she was digging and digging ever since I was in the queue and she only stopped her act when it was my turn. Then she used her digged-nose-hand to touch the drink cover!

While the cashier aunty was preparing my hot soya bean, I was wonder if my that digged-nose worker touched my cover before anot. Then I cannot stand it anymore. I told the cashier aunty about her worker digging nose.

She apologized and told me: “SHE IS ALWAYS DIGGING HER NOSE!”

Freak lah, c’mon it’s so unhygienic! And since it’s not the first time she is caught in the act, they should have done something about it and not let her continue digging her nose and touching the drink cover.

So in the end, the cashier aunty gave me a free Mr Bean coupon and thank me for informing her. But obviously nothing is being done. I didn’t finish that drink. I don’t know if it contains any extra ingredient anot. -_-

2. I was finding HIGH AND LOW for my long sleeved white shirt and high heels! Mummy and I went to G2000 in AMK Hub, Hougang Mall, Wisma and Takashimaya on Sunday and NONE OF THEM has my size for white shirt!

WAHLOU EH!

Then we went to 8 different shoe shops to find a pair of pretty heels. CANNOT FIND ANYTHING TO MY LIKING! Those that I like, NO SIZE!

Went Bugis yesterday to look for shoes again. Found another nice pair but it’s in beige! So end up didn’t buy anything!

Yesterday...

Attended my colleague's baby boy 1st birthday yesterday afternoon. They stay in Ang Mo Kio, so it's convenient for me.

He is the one who interviewed me the first round. And I think he has a really pretty wife!

Then headed to United Square to meet Fungie for dinner. She wanted to get her fav Bakerzin cheesecake and some stationery for school. This woman is going to study again! Work hard and be a good student k!

Dinner was at Tang Dian Wang. They share the same boss as Thai Express.

See, we still have time to cam whore. Why? Cuz they are really SLOW! Make us wait outside for so long -_-

This is probably the one and only OK dish for the night...Fried Prawn Dumpling dipped in mango sauce, thou in my opinion, the mango sauce doesnt go very well with fried dumpling. Perhaps I would still prefer the old traditional mayonaise...

Yup that's my Saturday. And today is Sunday. Oh mine, why is time passing so fast! Im so hoping for Friday and Saturday to arrive ...

And now it's gone! T_T

I went over Chris's house for dinner on Friday! I haven't seen her for 1.5 months and Im missing her and the two sweetie pies like crazy! Need update with each other's lives and apparently she is enjoying her life now, which I am very happy for her.

Her house, is what I expected... White with vintage elements. Cosy and pretty. She said she can't imagine what my future house will be like. Neither can I. haha
