Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails....

Out with Fungie at Vivocity...

It was a holiday for all school teachers, so Miss Fang and I decided to go Vivocity for shopping!

I think I am really getting old, as I got very tired after walking around for 1.5 hours. Haha, so we sat in White Dog Cafe for high tea as well as to play around with my DSLR!

Dory Fillet with sweet and sour sauce. It looks like a cheena dish in an ang mor restaurant.

Overexpose! T_T

Then headed outside to continue cam-whoring!

Dinner was at Shin Kushiya. This is their Black Sesame Ice Cream Dessert.

No money to buy anymore clothes, so try for fun I also shuang.

From Pull and Bear, I am rather tempted to get this, considering I don't usually wear any floral print designs.

I LOVE THIS! :)

Botejyu at Liang Court

After getting my camera from Audio House in Liang Court, Brad and I went for lunch at Botejyu. It's a japanese restaurant (under the same parent company as Ajisen) that sells Bokos... vegetable pancake? So I tried playing with my camera, and mostly came out to be blur shots. T_T

He wants a treat from me, RAH!

This is similar to my Dallas drinking water pose. LOL

-Weekends-

SATURDAY:
It's Vesak Day. Wanted to go Guang Ming Shan for 3 steps 1 bow last night but my piano lesson ended very late. And I couldn't wake up early enough today. So just head for tuition before going to buy a cake home and celebrate Uncle's birthday!

It's considered a feast. My house doesn't cook fried food unless during special occasions.

Aunty and I chose mango cake! Uncle asked: Why no durian cake?
I said: Because you are going to eat durian cake in a two weeks' time. LOL

His wish: Strike TOTO / 4D -_-

Faster cut cake!
Happy Birthday Uncle, hope u, jiu mu and xiao hei stay happy always! :)

SUNDAY:
After much consideration, I finally decided to buy a DSLR. Heaven wasnt very nice to me today, as it was raining when i am about to leave the house, so Brad and I have to meet later. But I was all excited about it.

Audio House at Liang Court is having opening promotion, so we decided to go there. Touch the various models. Initially settled on Nikon D40, as they were having a promotion. $799 for kit lens plus 70-300mm long lens which was a good deal. But by the time we were there, this promotion closed liao. Sob Sob. Instead, it is selling at $788 for kit lens alone.

So I took the second option, Canon 450D. It costs $1,199. Thank goodness Brad knows the sales uncle very well, so I managed to get alot of freebies:
- Two 8GB memory card
- Tripod
- Ext flash
- Extra Battery
- Cleaning Kit
- Canon EOS Bag
- Screen Protector
- UV Filter
- And I bought a dry cabinet for $110.

There goes my money which is supposed to spend in NZ. But well, I think it's a good buy and hopefully i have no regrets lah. Since i am so free now, i shall read up more on photography :)

Using my Compact camera for the last time. To shoot my new DSLR. WHEE! :D

He is bothered. After meddling for very long, Brad says: U never buy Nikon, I dunnoe how to do the settings for u. RAH!

That's all, I need to meet Mummy and Daddy for dinner!

Consolation

I thought I will be very free after I cancelled my New Zealand trip. But well, I really 闲不下来, so I spend my days giving tuition, tuition and more tuition!

The Secondary Fours are all having their prelims these two weeks, so they really love to see me around, even when I ask them to sit in the room from 1pm to 8pm.

And as a consolation, one of my student's parent bought this for me! Awww, just when I am already braindead and hungry, these doughnuts arrive at the right time.

But I guess the best consolation is them receiving good grades...
Good luck all my lovelies! May the FORCE be with you :)

To end off, I am very amused by this clip.

Ellenborough Market Cafe

We didn't make it to New Zealand, so we decided to spend our day watching a movie and eating a delicious meal together as a consolation :)

Watched THE RAMEN GIRL in Bugis (Im Sorry Lishan!). Supposed to be a free movie for both of us as we did a survey in school and were given a free Shaw movie voucher. But being the messy one, I obviously lost of voucher.

The show is about this young American woman who was suddenly left alone in Tokyo after her bf broke up with her. Seeking to console herself, she winds up hanging out in her neighborhood ramen shop.

After observing the magical effects of the shop's ramen on the customers, the woman convinces herself that her true path in life is to become a ramen chef. So she persuades the shop's tyrannical Japanese master chef to teach her the art of making ramen. And although their relationship is contentious and rocky, they both discover the most important ingredient of all - that each ramen bowl must contain a universe of feeling and truly be a gift from the heart.

Well, it was a mediocre film lah, just find the title attractive so we watched it.

Then headed to Swissotel @ Merchant Court near Clarke Quay for our dinner buffet! Ade says Ellenborough Market Cafe has good crayfish that everyone is up on the grab, so we were there to try them out! :)

This girl, wear until so pretty! I thought she would be shabbily dressed as usual, so I decided to be shabbily dressed. She thought I would dress prettily, so she dressed prettily -_- we don't have any mo qi lah...haha

We made our reservation early! Now waiting to go into the restaurant. Look at the queue!

Ade taking salad...

And this aunty dissecting the BIG fish...

LET'S TUCK IN!

Highlight of the night! We missed the 1st round, all kiasu singaporeans are really fast at grabbing this yummy crayfish! And of course, how can i lose out! SO we hang around the crayfish area and once the chef brings out freshly cooked crayfish, ahem ahem, aunty ow is in action! :p

Supposedly to be my favourite. But I only ate a bowl of it, cuz it tasted sour to me. And opz, i think the photos look rather disgusting.

We weren't supporters of oysters. Don't really know how to appreciate them. One is okay, two is too much. The smell and slimy feel that goes into my throat makes mi ...
Total bill: $89 bucks

Then we walked around Clarke Quay. Gosh, my Saturday and Sunday are all spent in Clarke Quay. Note: I am USUALLY taller than her. Just that she was on heels yesterday. LOL! See, she wear until so pretty...

Ade has been real gu-niang, until we met a few ah bengs who were trying to disturb us. And she started to walk like a man again -_-"

Clarke Quay is really a pretty sight.

We were playing with Panasonic Lumix LX3. Aiyo, when I thought I have decided on which camera to get, now Im changing my mind again... RAH!

Somehow, I didn't feel as sore as before. The idea of waking up for gym in the morning, reading up on camera reviews, going to tuition centre, playing restaurant city in FB etc feels good. (Although it could have been better) This is a well deserved break. But I still hope to MIA when it comes to writing the forever-not-ending Research paper. If not, life's great.

And to Ade, thank you for yesterday's dinner, although I really think there's no need for the treat :)

Epicurious

Went for Brad's Food Outing today with Lishan. We had a super early dinner (4pm) at Epicurious, along Robertson Quay.

The place is so atas, doesn't even look like Singapore. I want to stay here next time! LOL

While waiting for food. I was damn tired. Slept at 4am last night. I don't know how did I even make it for tuition at 10am. It's a miracle!

Our new friends.

And I wana take the cute lil boy who was sleeping.

Then headed to Liang Court to shop. Spent some time in Kinokuniya, wanted to get some Chinese novels to read it during my free time, but the idea of touching books freak me out now.

Spent alot of time in the Japanese supermarket at the basement. They have really nice organic apples selling at 2 for $18. Oh man, if i buy them, i will eat these precious apples for a month.

Very late Valentine's Day Present

Thanks Eugene for passing the very late pressie from Eason!

GODIVA CHOCOLATES!!! OMG!

And a note from Eason. Thanks :)

Happy Labour's Day!

Well Well,
Research Paper,
Help out in AMKYEC

Kia Ora!

Goodbye New Zealand!

Two things in a day,
hard to swallow.

Facebook
