Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails....

Dinner was too much

This is my dinner menu yesterday:
- scallop
- foie gras pizza
- crab
- prawns
- beef
- ice cream

OMFG. Can u imagine how much cholesterol and calories I took in just from the dinner?

Yes, you may think:”WOW, YOU ARE LUCKY!”

But when u are eating this for 3-4 times in a month, I am sure u will start to get worried of your shape and health. When I tell my aunty that im eating foie gras, she is always jealous and envy, saying that I 生在福中不知福. But, she never take into consideration that all these big meals are really … horrible.

After surfing the net, this is a little information about foie gras:

Foie Gras directly translated means “fat liver” and refers to duck or goose liver from force-fed animals. The liver, which is grossly enlarged by methodically fattening the bird, (also called: cramming) has been counted as a delicacy since classical times, when the force-feeding of the birds was practised in Classical Rome (the Romans used figs for this).

Foie gras is unhealthy for humans. It derives 85 percent of its calories from fat: a 2-ounce serving contains 25 grams of fat and 85 milligrams of cholesterol.(20)

After reaching home at about 11.10pm last night, I was so tired that I went to bed. But my stomach was feeling so grouchy and upset that I had tummy ache throughout the night. Woke up at 1pm to shit. Woke yo at 3pm to shit. Woke up at 5pm to shit. Finally, at 6am, I fell asleep. And I thought of coming to work abit later todat, but instead, I woke up at 7.30am.

The food from dinner is still churning in my tummy that I don’t want to eat anything anymore.

At first, I thought I was a lucky girl, able to eat the best food on Earth. But now, after eating all these for so many months, I just want to have plain porridge for all my meals. The feeling is like u become rich one day, but u aren’t enjoying it and wanted to be poor again.

You know how I feel!!

So please, share an AMORE package and give it to me during my birthday. I will be really grateful to you.

Anyway, I have bought an amore package from a member at $80 per mth already. Wth, she is giving it up at a cheaper price than student package. But of coz it’s illegal, cuz im using her name to attend the aerobics. Thanks Michelle for recommending her!

But who cares? I will just be low profile!

Now that my granddaddy is suffering from high cholesterol, I am paying more attention to it. Below are some tips on how to reduce ur cholesterol level:

Food to avoid or limit:

Fatty meats but if you do eat them cut off all the visible fat.
• Sausages, goose and duck.
• Pies and pastries.
• Fat or oil in cooking.
• Prawns, shrimp and fish roe.
• Fried foods
• Dairy products such as full milk, cream, cheese, butter and ice cream.
• Egg yolks, limit to 2 a week.
• Cakes, crisps, biscuits, sweets and chocolate.

Try to grill or steam meats instead of frying or roasting but if you do roast, place meat on a rack to allow the fat to drain off. When frying choose a vegetable oil, such as sunflower.

Healthier foods which you could try eating are as follows:
• Fish, especially oil rich fish such as sardines, salmon, mackerel, pilchards
and trout. This type of fish contains Omega-3 fatty acids and they are
thought to lower LDL cholesterol.
• Poultry (chicken, veal or turkey) but remove the skin.
• Low-Fat dairy products, use semi skimmed or skimmed milk, low fat yoghurts
and mono or poly-unsaturated spreads.
• Foods high in polyunsaturated (found in nuts, seeds and vegetable oils)&
monounsaturated (found in olive, rapeseed, walnut oil and avocado) fats.
• Fruit and vegetables, you should eat at least 5 portions every day.
• Garlic
• Wholegrain breads
• Cereals
• Baked beans and red kidney beans
• Pasta and rice
